The End of the Age

I believe it is critically important for Christians to seriously evaluate the times, and be prepared for the end of this present age. I have been on this earth for nearly 70 years, and I have watched closely the evolution of the world culture - especially in the west. I have seen western culture move from a lukewarm Laodician Christian mindset in the 1950s to something close to a Sodom and Gomorrah mindset by 2023. Although there have been Christians in every generation that thought it was the end of the world as we know it, this time is different. This time scripture is being fulfilled at an astonishing rate, and the darkness of Romans 1 is spreading deeply across the whole western world. At the very least, Christians should be aware of what is happening and make sure they are on the right side of God's history, because, in the end, thats the only history that is going to matter. This part of CIP is focused on making sure you know what is happening, so you can make good choices for you and your family and be prepare.
Jesus told us that when you see the culture return to what it was in the days of Lot (Sodom and Gomorrah) know that the time of the end of the age is near. Luke 17: 28-30 Luke 21:31

Yes, Christians have had a problem in the past of crying wolf away too much. But, it is important to remember that in the Aesop fable of the boy who cried wolf, eventually the wolf did finally come.
There were ominus dark clouds surrounding the sexual revolution when it began in the 1960s. Many Christians were warning that this movement would eventually destroy love and replace it with lust, and end up sexualizing children. Oh, its just the crazy Church they said - trying to restrict natural human feelings.
A writer at the time who was socially liberal but had a lot of life experience, saw the ominus clouds on the horizon and wrote the following:

Are you feeling bored and empty? Well here is an idea. Lets run a 50 year social experiment where we drink deeply of the most vile thoughts and pornographic images ever to be seen by the human race, and then be shocked, shocked! - when the culture drowns in its own psychological vomit.
Billy Graham saw the dark clouds on the horizon too, and warned the western nations that the obsession with sex was a sign that we were approaching the end of the age.

For those who are old enough to have watched the experiment over the last 50 years - here is the final result of the ideology of tolerance without the contex of Christian morality.

But the culture laughed at such notions.
" Christians are such prudes!"
"All we want is sexual freedom."
"All we want is to be left alone."
"Our freedom has no effect on your life."
"It is ludicrous and shameful for you to say we are after your children."
2023: Who was right and who was wrong?
Video
If you have been a parent, you know that a 5 year old has their own definition of love. Their definition is - you let me do whatever I want even if it is bad for me and bad for others. This is the kind of love these guys are singing about in the video.
Editor's Note:
Many people would say that the chant and song in the video is sarcasm. What I have learned by watching and studying the sexual revolution for over half a century, is that the sarcasm of one generation turns into reality in the next generation. At first you have IT (sarcasm), and then in the next generation IT has you (You actually believe it.) This is true for an individual and it is true for a culture.

No! You don't understand. Its just our way of rebelling against society. We really did not mean it! But now it has gone too far. Lets turn this train around. Ok?
Circa 1980

It was all a charade. We didn't really believe in the occult. We were just having fun and rebelling. It was fun to poke the Church in the eye! But its gone too far, lets put it all back into the bottle. Ok?
Always remember - when dealing with spiritual forces - "At first you have IT, then you wake up one morning (maybe 50 years later) and IT has you. This is true of an individual, and of a culture.
Who's to Blame? (Rough Draft)
The Laiodican Church (of all denominations):
The lukewarm Laiodicean Church of the 1950s set the stage for the sexual revolution because of its lack of Spiritual reality. It had lots of outward form but very little internal reality. This left a void in the hearts of people, and when a perfect storm of history enveloped the western nations there was no internal religious stability to steady the ship. This is exactly what Jesus predicted and warned about: (Build your house on rock - not sand)
The Post-World War 2 Christian Secularism:
The Laiodecean Church was very receptive to a secular worldview. (This part of the article will be written later.)
The Invention of radio, television, movies, music videos, and the internet.
(This part of the article will be written later.)
Capitalism and Daycares: (This part of the article will be written later.)
The Baby Boomer generation was so fond of pointing out the hypocrisy of the Laiodecean Church, and as mentioned above, there was plenty to talk about. But the hypocrisy of the Laiodecean church was a drop in the bucket compared to the hypocris of the Baby Boomer generation. The generation that started out when they were young singing about love and the rejection of material things, turned out to be the most bitter, unloving, materialist generation in human history. By 2023 this generation now in their 70s value money and power above everything else. So much so, that they are fine with placeing their grand children in daycares, and public schools that teach perverted sexuality and paganism - as long as they can have nice homes big screen tvs and nice cars. What happened? It is explained in the book of Isaiah.
"For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me." Isaiah 47:10. And, "Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks (torches): walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow." Isaiah 50:11
These verses are refering to people deciding they can live by their own light, rather than God's light.
If you are of this generation and you were apart of the psychological destruction it brought on the world culture, there is still time to switch sides and find forgiveness in Christ. But don't waste time deciding. You have very little time left.
"... no nation can be perfectly established and preserved unless it is founded and bound together by faith and a stable union of hearts. This occurs when God, who is the highest and truest common good, is loved ... St. Augustine circa 410 A. D.
