The End of the Age and the Return of Christ
When I was a child in a small church in a small town, I heard the old timers talk about the end of the age and the return of Christ. They would quote strange and rediculous scriptures and they would say these things would signal the end times. It made no sense at all to the post-world war 2 mindset. It was a very practical mindset that tolerated such "religious" ideas, but smiled and delegated the talk to the stupid, eccentric, crazy people. Here are some of the crazy things they said the scripture told us back then and we accepted it by pure faith because there was no way any reasonable person should believe such things could ever happen.
That after 2000 years Isreale would become a nation again.
"Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." Isaiah 66:8
Oops - well the old timers got lucky on that one.
That the gospel would be heard by the whole world.
Well, its going to take a long time for the whole world to hear the gospel. I am not sure that could ever happen. There is no mechanism for that to happen.
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. "Matthew 24:14
Ok, that is a funny coincidence.

This is an excellent video to help us to begin to understand what is coming in the next few years, and how it will affect the Church. CIP proposes the following:
1. Human beings could easily form an attachment with the robot - an emotional attactment similiar to what we feel with a dog or cat at home - many people talk to their pets as a friend. The pet is company.
2. At first the Al jazeera interviewer has a lighthearted carefree reaction to the robot - as though Sophia is a funny novelty. But, by the end of the interview you can detect a bit of an anger or anxiety reaction in the interviewer-as thought she is beginning to understand the significance of what she is seeing.
3. AI and these types of robots are primative prototypes. Five years from now this type of robot will be far more advanced than it is now.
4. Almost all of these robots are female and almost all of them created by men. Within ten years, these female robots will basically cancel out real women. Males are much more suited emotionally to using a female robot for companionship and as a sex partner.
5. It is not hard to imagine - after a few years of the world being immersed (baptized) into the AI life, that a new AI being will declare itself as the first real god for human beings. And, because the human race will have already been preconditioned to worship and praise and submit to it's technology by the use of all it's smart devices - most of the world will wholeheartedly praise and bow down to this new god. This will be the establishment of Virtualism as the new world religion. And anyone who is honest and aware can already see this happening.
"And he doeth great wonders ... And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth ... And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast ... And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive the mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name" Revelation 13:13-17
